Farmed in family operation involved in growing, packing and shipping of peaches, plums, nectarines throughout my childhood and early adulthood.
Also farmed and managed raisins, wine grapes and almonds. The farming operation eventually expanded to North Fresno, Madera and Selma areas growing almonds, peaches and grapes for raisins.
In the late 1980’s I assisted in the creation of Lubisich Bros. Co. (now know as Lubisich Bros Co., Inc.) which applied soil amendments for other growers. Lubisich Bros Co., Inc. is still an active business serving growers in Fresno, Tulare, Kings and Madera counties.
In the early 2000’s the decision was made to reposition the farm ag holdings into commercial and industrial properties. Over the years I have successfully exchanged our agricultural portfolio into commercial properties consisting of a diverse array of businesses, including but not limited to Medical offices, industrial warehouse space and an inventory of land to continue expanding as opportunities arise.
I’ve been involved in many tax deferred exchanges (i.e. 1030 Exchanges) from the sale of the original property to the search for and ultimately the purchase of replacement properties both in farm lands as well as commercial properties.
In 2012 I earned my Real Estate Broker’s License in an effort to better serve my tenants as well as establish new relationships in the industry. Though this was and is working well, I joined Pearson Realty in the Spring of 2013 in an effort to put my experience to work assisting others with the purchase of farm land as well as educating clients regarding the repositioning of assets into cash flow positions in or out of agriculture.
