Description

Property is a cannery located in the Township of Planada in Merced County, CA, approximately 10± miles from the University of Merced. The company, Oasis Foods, is a certified organic (QA1) packer. Oasis Foods packs canned figs and canned prunes to their customers; however, they also enter into contracts with outside growers to co-pack specialty products such as peaches and apricots on a contract basis. Presently, Oasis has one #10 – 603 line, two 2 Ѕ - 401 lines and two 300 can lines. It also runs whole, sliced and diced frozen lines for figs. The new community plan that has been approved by the planning commission and Board of Supervisors, has included possibilities for the subject property for future uses such as manufacturing, Business Park and/or commercial zoning possibilities. The cannery contains approximately 70,210± square feet and sits on a concrete slab foundation with two ramps. The cannery includes a lunchroom, quality control laboratory, four warehouses, office building, scale, an enclosed boiler room and one acre effluent pond. The property also has electricity panels for 3-phase power with transformers on site. Drainage system is built into the foundation for easy water removal.

Water

The property has a 40± HP electric pump and well that supplies ground water necessary for the cannery. Municipal water hookups and meter is in place but not currently being used. Municipal sewer is hooked up and being used for all restrooms on the property.
