The subject property is located in and receives water from the Kern Delta Water District s Kern Island Utility division, district turnout s 226, 235 & 244 serve the farm. This division of water rights comes from the Kern River. In 2009 the water cost was $17/acre foot and there was some pro-ration of water during the months of May, June and July. The farm is supplemented by a newer agricultural well drilled in 2005 (Unit 3); it is equipped with a diesel motor and gear head. The last pump test taken the end of 2009 indicated 1,560 GPM. The water to the residence is provided by a domestic well drilled in 2009 (Unit 1), it is equipped with a submersible pump and 3HP motor. The last pump test dated 9-23-09 indicated 27 GPM at 30 PSI.
